Kervy Delcy's Echelon Press: Redefining Arts Leadership Through Global Vision.
NATIONWIDE - OCTOBER 2025 - (USAnews.com) At five years old, Kervy Delcy stood defiant in a makeshift courtroom, refusing to remove her lawyer's robe long after the school performance had ended. She was convinced the law was her calling, until Sister Jeanne, a spirited nun with a gift for song and dance, awakened something deeper. That pivotal moment in a Catholic school classroom would reshape not just one young girl's destiny, but eventually transform how emerging artists access opportunities worldwide through her multimedia platform, Echelon Press.
Today, the Haitian-American composer, conductor, and visionary arts leader has built an empire that spans continents and disciplines, bridging cultures through music while empowering the next generation of creative voices.
From Dreams to Melodies: The Early Awakening
Delcy's artistic journey began with poetry at age five, when her mother recognized her natural gift for language. By nine, she was waking with fully formed melodies composed in her dreams, unaware she was developing what would become her signature songwriting ability. Her competitive spirit emerged at eleven when she began dominating local poetry and singing competitions, consistently claiming first place in poetry and second in singing.
"I not only compose and conduct, but also produce, write, and mentor, integrating diverse artistic and cultural influences to create experiences that are both innovative and deeply resonant," Delcy explains of her multidisciplinary approach.
Her versatility caught attention early when she joined AJAPDECH (Association of Young Actors and Producers for the Development of Haitian Culture), acting in the film "Amour et Contrainte." But it was her immigration to New York in 2012 that would truly catalyze her transformation from talented performer to industry visionary.
